Vice PM Yaalon in stinging attack on Defense Minister Barak
In an usually grave attack, even for Israeli politics, Vice Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon accused Defense Minister Ehud Barak Saturday of leaving the prime minister in the lurch on Iran, and “placing his own political considerations above the national interest.” He charged that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu believed Barak was with him all the way on the compelling need to tackle Iran’s nuclear program, but when it came to the crunch, the defense minister sided with the Obama administration’s policies.
