Two men get death sentences in Kuwait for spying for Iran, Hizballah
Two men, one Iranian and one Kuwaiti, were sentenced to death by a court in Kuwait for spying for Iran and Hizballah, reports said Tuesday. The ruling said the defendants smuggled weapons and explosives into the country and plotted to carry out terrorist attacks. The Iranian, Abdulreyda Hayder, was convicted in absentia. Another defendant received life in prison and 19 others received jail sentences ranging from 5 to 15 years, reports said.
