Two Arab Israelis indicted on charges of planning attacks in Jerusalem
A pair of Arab Israelis from the Galilee, Ali Subach and Ibrahim Shami, have been arrested and charged with planning to carry out terrorist attacks, according to an indictment of the two suspects filed Wednesday at a Haifa court. The indictment said the two went to Jerusalem armed with knives intending to carry out a stabbing attack in the area of Damascus Gate, but in the end they did not carry out their plan. On another occasion Subach traveled to Jerusalem with a knife given to him by Shami with an intent to commit a stabbing attack, according to the indictment . He was also said to have planned to carry out a shooting attack and asked someone to check the prices of guns.
