North Korean leader: Entire US within striking range
The North Korean leader Kim Kong-un said Friday night after a second ICBM test that the entire US mainland was within “our striking range,” describing the test as a “stern warning” for America. Pyongyang said the new ICBM flew 47 minutes and covered a distance of 3,724km. American military experts confirmed that the new North Korean missile can reach inland from the US coast and that towns like Chicago and Los Angeles are now at risk. President Donald Trump called the new launch a threat to the entire world and promised steps soon against North Korea. Meanwhile, the US and South Korea test-fired short-range missiles. Seoul informed China of its decision to put a third US THAAD missile defense system in position.
