New Israeli record: 3,392 added covid-19 cases on Tuesday

The Ministry of Health released on Wednesday the new record figure of another 3,392 coronavirus cases registered in Tuesday. Out of 27,723 active patients, 463 were diagnosed as serious with 127 on respirators. The death toll from the virus stood at 1,026. Out of 40,382 tests performed on Tuesday, a high 8.7pc were positive.

The coronavirus director Prof. Ronni Gamzu allowed a few days until Sept. 10 before deciding on the degree of national lockdown for the High Holidays which begin on Sept. 18. A night curfew imposed on “red’ towns and regions meanwhile goes into effect on Tuesday night.
