Kushner in Rabat meets UAE leader, Omani FM

Senior Trump adviser Jared Kushner arrived in Morocco Thursday night during a swing around the region to rally support for the administration’s peace plan. In Rabat, the US delegation, that included Middle East Jason Greenblatt, special representative for Iran Brian Hook and deputy assistant to the president Avi Berkowitz, also met with UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah. Earlier in Cairo, Kushner held talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fatteh El-Sisi on “ways to consolidate peace and stability in the region.” DEBKAfile: While promoting the Trump peace plan, the delegation is primarily focused on quiet diplomacy over US-Iranian tension.
