Israel marks Remembrance Day for its fallen soldiers
Israel remembers its 23,928 fallen soldiers and victims of war and terror on Wednesday with two minutes silence at 11.00 a.m. Bereaved families will visit 52 military cemeteries and memorial sites – this year without the coronavirus restrictions that prevailed a year ago. A state ceremony takes place on Mt. Herzl in Jerusalem.
The solemn day ends Wednesday night when the country turns to celebrating Independence Day Eve.
