IDF forces move in after two Israelis injured in Egyptian border shooting attack
Exchange of fire continued Saturday noon after two Israelis wounded in a shooting attack on the Egyptian border that morning were evacuated to hospital. The IDF spokesperson confirmed that the circumstances of a “security incident occurring in the area of the Paran Regional Brigade waws being investigated.” The condition of the wounded was unknown. The IDF has reinforced troops in the area.
Shortly before the incident, security forces thwarted a smuggling attempt in the area. The smugglers were said to have climbed ladders and thrown drugs worth of $660,000 over the security defense.
