Gaza truce holds Friday morning
On Friday morning as the ceasefire that went into effect in the small hours of Thursday night took hold, Palestinians across Gaza and the West Bank celebrated the Hamas “victory” with gunfire, singing, dancing and parades. “Our hands on the trigger and we will continue to grow our capabilities,” said a Hamas deader Ezzzat El-Reshiq from Doha, listing demands for Israeli concessions in Jerusalem.
Israel’s Home Command released the residents of communities around the Gaza Strip and the South from their long stay in shelters under Hamas rocket attack and reopened threatened highways. If the calm lasts, schools will go back to normal on Sunday
