Former intelligence officer appointed to key Defense Ministry post

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman has announced the appointment of Col. (res) Zohar Palti as head of the ministry’s Political and Security department. A former Director of Intelligence at the Mossad, Palti takes over from Amos Gilead, who held the post as a top adviser to several defense ministers for 13 years.
