Brexit negotiations begin in Brussels

The UK government’s Brexit Secretary David Davis arrived in Brussels Monday to start negotiations with the EU for Britain’s exit from the bloc. He said he was determined to build a "strong and special partnership" with the EU. Subjects for the negotiations include the status of expats, the UK's "divorce bill" and the Northern Ireland border. The UK is set to leave the EU by the end of March 2019,  amid controversy in London on whether the May government should go for a “soft” or a “hard” deal.
