‘Barak 8’ missile successfully launched from Indian destroyer
The new "Barak 8" missile was successfully test-launched early Wednesday morning from an Indian warship, a spokesman for the Indian fleet said. The missile is being developed jointly by several Israeli defense companies and India's Defense Research and Development Organization. It was the third full test of the Barak 8, a ground-to-air missile intended for use against a variety of threats including warplanes, surveillance planes, bombers, drones and helicopters, and for defense of Israel's energy infrastructure in the Mediterranean.
