At least 12 injured when truck crashes into Xmas shopper in Nantes

A driver crashed a white van into a crowd of Xmas shoppers in the main market of Nantes, western France, Monday, shouting Allahu Akhbar. The driver then stepped out and stabbed himself. He was taken to hospital in critical condition. Local police are treating the incident as a terrorist attack. It would be France’s second car-crash attack in two days, the third this week.
