A deal has enabled 41,000 Syrian rebels to leave East Ghouta

Russian Maj.-Gen. Yuri Yevtushenko confirmed Saturday that at least 41,000 members of the insurgent Faylaq al-Rahman group have been evacuated with their families from East Ghouta and relocated to Idlib in the north. The deal brokered by the Russian military completes the handover of 90 percent of the rebel-held enclave east of Damascus to the Syrian government.  A few pockets of resistance remain in Douma.

Sounds like there are deals being made that are just beginning to become visible, may explain Trump’s pulling out of Syria news..

I think that the Russians and the US want out but they both want a foothold and Russia wants to maintain its port. Russia also wants to ensure that it gets rich contracts to re-build war-torn Syria – a conflict which has demonstrated why Islamists cannot be trusted anywhere near civilization if civilization is to maintain freedom.

the problem is that the Islamic State of Iran has an insatiable appetite for war and conquest and so the US and Russia must pave over their differences to confront the real enemy at this time. Obama made certain that Iran would prosper and this is the end result of his leftist foreign policy.

If the US were wise, it would cut its losses and do exactly as the President’s recent comments portend – an end to the policy of throwing good money after bad in a region where the USA has lost over 5000 troops. It is a hopeless hell-hole with no future until Islam reforms and the people bring themselves out of a 7th century Islamic nightmare.

The US must realize by now that its only real ally is Israel and, along with smart Israelis, make fortress Israel into the strongest nation on earth – so strong that an anti-Jew Islam on the march will avoid gratuitous propaganda that harms Israel.

The US must work to put the EU-UN-Left in its place with respect to their tear-Israel-apart campaign. Start by telling the EU-UN to go to hell with their recent support of terrorism on Israel’s border with Gaza to get terrorists into Israel as the EU propagandists feel terrorists ought to over-run Israel and Israel should just drop all defenses – the insane in the EU have no business telling Israel to disappear – let the EU give away the EU, as is happening at a rapid pace, by offering up of Europe to Islamists without a shot being fired (and all the violence coming from one side in the form of terror).

most everything you said makes sense to me. i think you may be incorrect about the US and it’s intentions. For example, I think that the Trump admin is willing to pitch in significantly to bring the nascent Kurdistan to a point at which the Kurds can sustain a nation, and thereby contribute to containing the Turks.

Where is the proof that Trump is willing to help the Kurds with establishing a nation? He did not help them against Turkey which is their main obstacle – he supplies some limited arms but not enough and that is about all. What else makes no sense to you? We can debate all of it if you have some information and real facts?

By the way, with the US having a strong foothold in a new base (my preference) established in Israel, the US can conduct missions which will be cost effective, part of ongoing training of US troops, coordinated with Israel and coinciding with Israeli interests and they will be much more effective then anything in these disparate semi-enemy Arab bases in Islamic countries where they can turn on you at the blink of a camel.

You mean israel that bombed the USS Liberty is the best ally we can get? No thanks. The right wing has a high birthrate in Israel so as time goes on the US and Israel will see less and less in common.

You will be long gone and soon with left-wing propaganda-think like that gives you your “sanctuary states” filled with criminals and users. They don’t even sing Kumbaya that well for the selfies with you and the great unwashed non-white masses (“white” is the new bigoted term of disparagement among mostly white leftists to signal to each other how virtuous they are) singing in harmony to the same tune and beat along with your head-chopping “friends” among the Islamists.

      You mean this:

“Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. 37 He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 38 But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:36-39)
