The ongoing investigation of the June 21 suicide bombing by ISIS on the Jordan-Syria border, in which six Jordanian border guards were killed and 16 were wounded, has revealed the terrorist organization’s sophisticated means of infiltration and attack. According to debkafile’s intelligence and counterterrorism sources, ISIS carried out the assault with a stolen Jordanian military vehicle.

American experts are overseeing a lightning operation for setting up either mobile sensor towers or electronic fences in Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan and Israel in a desperate bid to seal their borders off against the fast-moving ISIS impetus. Its reign of terror is spreading out from Iraq and Syria and creeping into southern Jordan, the Israeli Negev and Egyptian Sinai, then on to Libya and over to Tunisia and Algeria, covering a distance of 4,000 km. Egypt’s El-Sisi asked for the towers when the ISIS offensive in N. Sinai went into its second week unchecked.
