A high-level Hizballah delegation arrived secretly in Tehran Tuesday, April 28, with the military group led by Syrian Defense Minister Fahad Jassim al-Freij, debkafile discloses exclusively. Both are taking part in the military and intelligence consultations with Iranian officials on the war situation in Syria and steps against Israel. A Gulf intelligence source said those steps were quickly finalized. The IDF on the Golan can expect a far more active and intense front than ever before, he warned - a small foretaste of which was the failed bomb attack Sunday.

In is first speech since Wednesday’s cross-border clash with Israel, Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah Friday, Jan. 30 tried dictating terms for peace. The war would go on, he said, unless Israel relinquishes its resolve to eliminate his organization’s and an Iranian presence on Syrian soil in Quneitra. “The resistance no longer cares about rules of engagement,” he said, after conferring with Al Qods Brigades chief, Gen. Qassem Soleimani on a visit to Beirut. Earlier Friday, PM Binyamin Netanyahu accused Iran of backing a continuous offensive to uproot Israel. It won’t succeed, he said.

Israel and Iran’s Lebanese surrogate, the Shiite Hizballah, are both evidently sounding out their opponents’ intentions after vows of revenge for the air strike which killed a dozen Hizballah and Iranian officers on the Golan on Jan. 18. Heightened military movements in the last 24 hours focus on the 900-meters tall Ramim Ridge. Sunday night, as a large explosion was heard in Lebanon, huge IDF trucks transported concrete ramparts to the Upper Galilee, in case Hizballah resorts to a sniper attack like the one that killed a high Israeli officer five years ago.
