The French nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle is on its way to the Mediterranean for joint maneuvers with the Egyptian navy to prepare for a joint attack on ISIS in Libya, debkafile’s military sources report. It will be the Egyptian navy’s first joint exercise with a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. They will practice landing fighter-bombers from the Charles de Gaulle at air bases in Egypt’s western desert for refueling, reloading munitions or emergency landings, and rehearse joint marine landings.
