A "strategic" smuggling tunnel for arms

The Press Trust of India news agency reported that nuclear plants were put on alert Monday, Nov. 16 in the wake of the arrests in the United States of two suspects of complicity in the Mumbai attacks a year ago in which 171 people were killed. Headley is believed to have visited Indian states with nuclear sites during an advance surveillance tour of the Mumbai targets.

The UN nuclear watchdog's report on its inspection of Iran's second uranium enrichment site near Qom says that Tehran's belated declaration of its existence raises questions about more still secret facilities. The inspectors in its still restricted report refute this claim after finding that work began five years earlier in 2002.
